Last updated: July, 30, 2026
The ACE Manifesto ("we," "us," or "our") operates acemanifesto.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account Information. When you register for a free account, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form). We also collect the country you select, which is required at registration.
Optional Profile Information. After registering, you may choose to provide additional details on your profile, including your region or state, industry, job role level, and responses to the "User Manual of Me" prompts (your preferred communication style, working preferences, and similar information you choose to share). Providing this information is entirely optional.
Newsletter Preferences. During registration, you may opt in or out of two email lists: Book Publishing Updates and Website & Resource Updates. You can change these preferences at any time.
Social Login Information. If you choose to log in or register using Google, Facebook, or another supported third-party provider, we receive basic profile information from that provider, typically your name and email address, in order to create and authenticate your account. We do not receive your password for those services, and we do not post to your social accounts on your behalf.
Usage Information. Like most websites, our server and hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and site-performance purposes.
Cookies. We use cookies necessary for basic site functionality, such as keeping you logged in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Provide access to registered-member content, including our interactive tools and extended resource library
- Send you the newsletter(s) you've opted into, and allow you to manage or cancel those subscriptions at any time
- Personalize your experience, for example, generating a PDF from your own "User Manual of Me" entries
- Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site
- Respond to your questions or requests
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How We Share Information
We share information only as necessary to operate the Site:
- Service providers. We use third-party services to operate parts of the Site, including our web hosting provider, our email delivery service for newsletters, and, if you choose to use them, social login providers (Google, Facebook, and others as added). Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the information they process on our behalf.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid legal requests.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
Access and correction. You can view and update most of your profile information at any time by logging in and editing your profile.
Newsletter preferences. You can opt in or out of either newsletter list at any time. Every newsletter email also includes an unsubscribe link.
Account deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. See our [Data Deletion Instructions] page for details on how to make this request.
Regional privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, for example, the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data (under GDPR for residents of the EU/UK, or similar rights under other regional privacy laws). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide you with services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
